Planet Earth was given to us by God to use and protect. As stewards of God’s resource, Salem Lutheran Church is working to help reverse climate change. The Solar Project was created to minimize the church’s carbon footprint. By installing a grid of solar panels on the property, the church will reduce energy consumption from conventional sources.
The cost of solar panels has seen significant reductions in the past few years. Still, the cost of Salem’s solar grid will be over $100,000.
You can help with our effort to save the planet by providing a donation of any amount. There are two ways you can donate.
To raise money for the solar project, church member Egon Overgaard is in the process of walking the Appalachian Trail. The trail is over 2,190 miles long and will take five to seven months to complete. You can sponsor Egan by making a pledge. Just click on the red link below.
