Quilting Party

Image

All women are invited to meet at Salem every Thursday during January, February and March from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Bring a dish to pass at the potluck lunch at noon, and join the fun of working together. Any donated new or used material can be used.
Not everybody sews! Some cut out fabric for quilt blocks which are sewn and tied for missions.
New material is used for quilts for people whose homes have burned.
Even women from other churches often join us for the fun and fellowship and the tasty noon meal.

Prayer Shawls

Image
Made for centuries prayer shawls are universal and embracing. They enfold, comfort, cover wrap, give solace, warmth, mother, hug, shelter, and beautify.
They are symbolic of inclusive and unconditional loving. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed.
If you are a knitter, or want to learn to knit and want to express your faith and caring in this way,
contact Ginger Minske at 363-3175 or Bev Bixby at 363-3297.
Prayer shawls will be knitted for those in need of our prayers -- such as in times of illness or bereavement.

The Prayer Shawl instructions are available here!
